Shemot (Exodus)
The book of Shemot introduces us to Mosheh who led the enslaved Yisra’elites out of Mitsrayim. We will then witness the greatest event ever – the giving of the 10 Commandments and what happens when Mosheh goes up the mountain. Then we will learn all about the construction of the Mishkan (tabernacle), its furnishings and courtyard. We will also observe the ordination of the priesthood and learn about their set-apart garments. After all the pieces of the Mishkan are ready, we will raise up the Dwelling Place and learn about the pillar of cloud and fire that led the children of Yisra’el in the wilderness as we conclude the book of Shemot.
